This water color painting of a bald eagle in his native environment was commissioned in the 1980s for an Agri Pharm Company that operated in NC.
I talked to the 89 year old artist . Mr. Don Balke was not able to remember specifics on the actual year he painted this or the name of the company. He does remember the painting as it is the only right facing Eagle he painted.
This is an original painting and was never offered commercially so the only reprints were given to customers of the company that commissioned the painting.
Many of the reprints of Mr. Balke's work have sold in the 800 - $1,000 range. - this an original painting on Crescent board
This is an original - the proof it is the original is the paining is on the original Board. It is in the original frame and has not been exposed to sun light. The frame has nicks and dents.
